It’s a new year. Resolve to improve the way you get to work.

We all know how stressful getting to work can be. It’s usually combined with rushing to get out of the house in the morning and that is often combined with making sure your kids are packed up for school and the dog has been out before you can even think about stepping out of the door. Not to mention, this time of year, the cold air might make it hard for your car start and what happens when there’s an icy patch on the end of your driveway or street that may prevent you from proceeding along your route to work?

Break lights, stop-and-go traffic, semis in the break-down lane—the list goes on and on…

What if there was a better way to get to work that involved you not driving but riding to work? What if you could eat and drink coffee, check your email, read, even text on your way into the office and not have to worry about crashing into the car in front of you?

What if riding into work could save you not only time and aggravation but it could also earn you incentives like gift cards for gas, coffee or to your favorite restaurant?

You guessed it—it can! The North Shore TMA’s Green to Work program allows you to easily track your alternative commute trips to and from work and it awards you incentives for doing so!

Carpool, participate in a vanpool, take the commuter rail—even telework and earn incentives for doing so! All you need to do is log 8 trips per month to be eligible!

The NSTMA can help you decide which alternative commute option is right for you.
